When I first found out we were getting a Trader Joe’s in Birmingham, I was stoked! The closest one to us is in Marietta, Georgia. Trader Joe’s has a plethora of things you need and didn’t know that you needed. Anything you can think of they have it! I enjoy shopping there, and I love that you can get in and out in no time. I really didn’t know what to expect, so when they had their grand opening, you know I had to be there!
Here are my top 5 reasons why I love shopping at Trader’ Joe’s…
I found out about Trader Joe’s thanks to Cookie Butter. Someone said, “it tastes like melted cookies and angels”. Speculoos Cookie Butter comes in three varieties: Original Cookie Butter, Cookie & Cocoa Swirl, and Crunchy Cookie Butter. There was a time when I would have to order Cookie Butter online or have family/friends ship it to me. Before I discovered Cookie Butter, I hadn’t stepped foot in a Trader Joe’s. I guess it’s safe to say the Cookie Butter sold me. You have to see this video, and you’ll see why Trader Joe’s and their Cookie Butter is a winner.
Thanks to Trader’s Joe’s, I was able to find riced cauliflower for my shrimp “fried rice” recipe when riced cauliflower became a thing! I pretty much had to camp out just to get my hands on it, because it was in such high demand. I have riced cauliflower myself, and it’s no easy feat. I’m happy that they have it available for people like me. They also have a variety of frozen vegetables such as eggplant fries, mac & cheese bites, and so much more. Check out 45 of the best frozen foods that you MUST try at Trader Joe’s!
I love spicy food, so when I saw this Green Dragon Hot Sauce, I had to add it to my cart. It just sounds like it will have your mouth on fire. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will keep you posted.
I can’t think of anywhere else that has such a unique variety of seasonal goodies! Pumpkin spice coffee, gluten free pumpkin pancake mix, Pumpkin Joe-Joes’ (Hilarious!), and even pumpkin rolls! *swoons*
And let’s not forget…”this pumpkin walks into a bar…” Cereal Bars! THE. CUTEST! introduction to a cereal bar ever! I even chuckled out loud when I found them.
Trader Ming’s Mildly Sweet & Spicy Beef & Broccoli is definitely a hit at our house. If you follow my IG Stories then you probably saw me preparing this one night not too long ago. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare. Don’t feel like eating out or going to pick up carry out? Just stock up on the many varieties of quick meals. You can find Trader Ming’s in the frozen section.
Two Dollar Wine
I think everyone knows about Two-Buck Chuck (or Charles Shaw Wine). That’s right, it’s only $2 a bottle. You ever wanted to know why it’s so cheap? Well, here you go!
Now you see why I love TJ’s so much! Do you shop at Trader Joe’s?
